Limitations and things to watch for

  • This tool runs on our server: the text you enter is sent to Delimiter.live to render the image. It is not stored in a database, but it is not a browser-only tool — do not encode secrets you would not put in a URL.
  • Higher error-correction levels tolerate more damage but pack more data into the same area, which makes the code denser and harder to scan when printed small. Level M is a good default.
  • Very long content produces a dense code. Shorten the URL first if the result will be printed at a small size.
  • The generated code is static: the destination is fixed at creation time and cannot be changed afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code free to use commercially?
Yes. The codes contain no watermark and no tracking, and you can use them commercially without attribution. The QR Code specification itself is an open ISO standard.
Does the code expire or get tracked?
No. The image encodes your content directly, so it works forever and involves no redirect service. Nothing about a scan is reported to us — we never see it.
Why is this tool server-side when others here are not?
Rendering a QR code requires an encoding library. Rather than send that library to every visitor, it runs on our server. The page carries a server-side processing badge to make this clear.
Should I choose SVG or PNG?
SVG for anything printed or resized, because it stays sharp at any scale. PNG when you need a plain image file to paste into a document or upload somewhere that rejects SVG.
